Jonathan was admitted in October 1995.
Having served his articles at Kingsford Stacy where he was, on qualification, taken on in the corporate commercial department as a solicitor, being promoted to associate in 1998 and to partner in 1999.
In January 2002, Jonathan joined Collyer Bristow as a partner and was made Head of the Corporate team in 2005, responsible for a team of 5 partners and three assistants.
In February 2007, Jonathan joined Andrew Irvine, with whom he had been a partner at Collyer Bristow, at Irvine and Partners.
Jonathan specialises in all aspects of corporate and commercial work, (including conveyancing) from incorporation through to merger, flotation, sale or, on rare occasions, winding up. Jonathan is also experienced in corporate recovery work.
Jonathan advises a wide range of clients from administrators and liquidators, individuals with ideas, through experienced entrepreneurs to public companies on transactions which have, so far, raised from between £1 to £82,000,000. Jonathan enjoys watching his clients grow and becoming an integral part of their team as they develop and is equally comfortable advising individuals as the boards of listed companies.
Jonathan holds an advanced diploma in corporate finance from the Institute of Chartered Accountants which enables him to comfortably, and confidently, advise companies on their financial requirements from start up funding through to venture capital investment and can help them chart their course through the funding documents and requirements of the investors, including likely security.
Jonathan is a member of the Institute of Directors, the Corporate Finance Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Old Cholmleian Business Section.
